Key Role in Industrial Project:
Vickerstock is working with a civil contractor on the appointment of a site engineer for a large industrial project in County Kildare. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the project.
Job Responsibilities:
Work on concrete, drainage, roads and enabling to ensure timely completion of the project.
Set out gridlines and layouts for the site using software such as TotalStation and GPS.
Review and update programmes of works to reflect changes and progress.
Ensure the project runs smoothly and in line with timelines by monitoring progress and identifying potential issues.
Review subcontractors' work against quality standards to ensure that the highest standards are met.
Liaise with the project manager to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Promote health and safety on site by conducting regular risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2 years of experience as a site engineer within civil engineering.
You should have a strong understanding of Totalstation and GPS software, as well as degree-level education in construction or civil engineering.
Experience with relevant documentation such as sign-offs and valuations is also essential.
A full driver's licence and right to work in Ireland are also required.
Ability to travel occasionally may be necessary due to the requirement to visit other locations.
