The Role / Location
We are seeking a General Maintenance Operative to join our central facilities management team. This individual shall be responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations and maintaining the facility to the highest possible standards. They will Perform preventive maintenance routines as guided by a maintenance calendar on the CAFM system.
The successful applicant will join an established team within the Facilities Management department, supporting general maintenance activities across a portfolio of assets in Dublin City Centre.
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, organised, and have a strong attention to detail. Working as part of a large team.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive maintenance routines as guided by a maintenance calendar on the CAFM system.
* Ensure scheduled PPMs are performed and completed in a timely manner.
* Maintaining up to date records on the PPM's on the CAFM system as tasks are completed.
* Perform basic maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, planned maintenance and vendor escorting of the work environment.
* Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify operational issues and areas for improvement.
* Familiarity with the range of common plant and equipment used on commercial sites.
* Ensuring all facilities meet compliance standards and safety regulations.
* Assisting with emergency response and evacuation procedures
* Reporting any issues or concerns to the facilities manager and help in resolving these issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Must have previous experience in a maintenance or facility services role
* Familiar with computer aided facility management software
* The ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools is essential.
* A strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and the ability to perform repairs on different systems.
* The capacity to identify problems and resolve them efficiently.
* The ability to perform tasks that may require physical effort, such as lifting.
* Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
* While not always mandatory, a relevant trade qualification can be desirable.
* Takes responsibility for his/her own health and safety and the safety of any person that may be affected by his/ her actions.
