Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a senior member of the interdisciplinary team, you will provide supports to children aged 0-18 years and families within the region.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of occupational therapy services to include assessment, diagnostics and intervention to children with a range of disabilities, clinical supervision and participate in the ongoing service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and diagnose children's needs, develop individualised plans and implement interventions
* Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members and support their professional development
* Participate in the ongoing service delivery, including contributing to the planning and implementation of new projects and initiatives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
* Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
Desirable Criteria:
It would be beneficial if you have:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with disabilities (0-18 years)
* Experience of interdisciplinary team working
* Relevant postgraduate training specific to children with disabilities (0-18 years)
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary scale of €60,855 - €72,036 per annum, pro rata. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
