Job Description RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and community care services.
We are currently hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing for a leading Nursing Home in Co.
Laois, Ireland .
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Responsibilities Conduct internal audits regularly and follow up on audit findings to ensure continuous improvement.
Oversee staff induction and support ongoing training and professional development.
Promote innovative practices to enhance the quality of care and services.
Ensure compliance with company policies and HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Hold regular communication meetings with clinical staff to maintain effective teamwork and information sharing.
Build strong relationships with community agencies and encourage resident participation in local activities and events.
Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain a strong community presence and promote the nursing home.
Implement and monitor Health and Safety policies to ensure the wellbeing of staff, residents, and visitors, including fire safety training and evacuation procedures.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and ensure a preventative maintenance program is implemented.
Support recruitment processes, conduct training needs analysis, ensure clinical practices meet regulatory standards, and provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required.
Requirements Registered Nurse with NMBI registration (required).
Minimum 3 years of management experience within the last 6 years in the care of older persons.
Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
Proven experience and a strong track record in healthcare clinical management.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Strong decision-making ability with a results-driven approach.
Ability to work effectively within a team and foster a positive team environment.
Flexible and adaptable to meet the operational needs of the organisation.
