Deputy Quality Manager
The Deputy Quality Manager plays a pivotal role within our organization, serving as the right-hand person to the Quality Manager. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all legal, customer, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Quality function in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including HACCP and GMP.
* Serve as a key contact during accreditation audits, regulatory audits, customer audits, and inspections.
* Provide leadership to the Quality Team in the absence of senior management, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Carry out internal audits and support investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and product quality issues.
* Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to maintain and enhance product quality standards.
* Contribute to the management of the traceability system.
* Manage the Pest Control Program: liaise with service providers, ensure compliance with customer, legal, and certification requirements, and lead training on pest prevention.
* Manage the Cleaning and Hygiene Program: coordinate with service providers, ensure effective schedules and documentation, validate cleaning processes through swabbing, and conduct regular inspections.
* Lead, manage, and develop a team of Quality Assurance staff, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
* Support initiatives to strengthen food safety culture and contribute to food defense activities.
Requirements:
* Excellent understanding of quality management systems, including QMS and FSMS.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to provide leadership and direction to the Quality Team in the absence of senior management.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Other Information:
* This role is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
