Ryanair Appoints Capt. Ray Conway to Board of Directors in 2025
Ireland — Ryanair has announced the appointment of Capt. Ray Conway to its Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director with oversight of Air Safety, effective 1 October 2025. Mr Conway replaces Capt. Mike O’Brien and aims to reinforce Ryanair’s commitment to operational safety governance through experienced leadership.
* Conway previously served as Chief Pilot at Ryanair from 2002 to 2020, following a 13-year career as a pilot in the Irish Air Corps and his initial joining of Ryanair in 1987.
Since retiring from Ryanair, Conway has provided consultancy on operational and safety matters to multiple international carriers, including Ryanair.
He brings nearly four decades of aviation experience, with a specialized focus on flight operations, training, and safety management systems.
