Energy Engineers
Our Client is a State Organisation with a large portfolio of mixed use buildings, they currently have requirements for Energy Engineers for their Energy Management Unit.
Great opportunity to join a team of energy managers nationwide and help reduce the energy consumption and carbon emissions of one of Ireland’s highest energy users in the public sector. Responsibilities
Leading existing energy teams in Significant Energy Using sites
Chairing energy team meetings and compiling energy consumption reports on monthly basis
Identifying potential energy upgrade projects on an ongoing basis and maintaining a live register of opportunities for each site
Project management from concept to handover stage
Dedicated energy budget management
Project tendering under public procurement guidelines
Engaging with designers, consultants, contractors and other third parties on a regular basis
Sit in on design team meetings and contribute to the Energy Efficient Design (EED) process
Requirements
Level 8 Honours degree in Engineering/Environmental Science/Sustainability/Facilities or equivalent technical discipline
Minimum 2 yrs. experience
Experience in best energy management practice – leading and/or guiding energy management teams
Experience in Energy Analysis (bills analysis, use of energy monitoring software)
Good communication and presentation skills – able to communicate energy related topics to non-technical people
Ideal but not essential
Experience in project management from concept stage to handover
Experience in tendering and public procurement practices
Experience and understanding of Building Management Systems and energy savings that can be achieved through optimising set points etc.
Experience in design engineering
