An established veterinary hospital in Cork is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its skilled and supportive team.

The hospital operates to a high standard of veterinary medicine, equipped with advanced surgical, diagnostic, and medical facilities.
Within the team are highly experienced vets and nurses, including certificate holders across a range of specialties such as Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Endoscopy, ECC, and Anaesthesia.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and care for patients in line with the standards of the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
Manage a wide range of cases and perform surgical procedures with confidence and precision.
Maintain accurate medical records and prescribe medications safely.
Provide clear, empathetic communication with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment options, and care plans.
Ensure an excellent client experience across all interactions.
Promote preventative healthcare plans and insurance to support optimal patient wellbeing.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver consistent, compassionate veterinary care.
Participate in staff training and contribute to maintaining best practice standards.
Carry out administrative tasks including referral letters, laboratory submissions, vaccination records, passports, and insurance forms.
Adhere to professional conduct guidelines and remain up to date with CPD requirements.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Membership of the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
Strong surgical and clinical skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-care abilities.
Motivation to develop professionally within a supportive team environment.
This role is part-time (20 hours per week, with flexibility) and offers a salary of 45, ,000 pro rata, dependent on experience.
