This is not agency work — you will be employed as part of our dedicated care team, making a meaningful difference every day.Role SummaryAs a Social Care Worker in our service and part of our residential team, you will provide support to a young person with specific needs such as High Functioning Autism, Emotional Dysregulation, or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). You will help them build life skills, regulate emotions, and develop positive relationships, while ensuring their safety and well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect SupportProvide consistent, one-to-one care in a safe and nurturing home environment.Support the young person with daily routines, emotional regulation, and social development.Specialist CareUse knowledge of autism, PDA, and emotional/behavioral challenges to provide tailored interventions.Apply de-escalation strategies and positive behavioral support when needed.Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with your colleagues, team leader, and external professionals (e.g., therapists, psychologists).Maintain accurate records, daily reports, and incident logs in line with HIQA standards.Advocacy & EmpowermentPromote independence and self-expression for the young person.Ensure their rights, dignity, and choices are respected at all times.Qualifications & SkillsA recognised qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or related field.Minimum of 1–2 years' experience working with young people with:Expeirence with High Functioning Autism, Emotional Dysregulation or Pathological Demand Avoidance is a benefit.Strong skills in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practice.Ability to work independently in a one-to-one care setting while contributing to a wider team.Excellent communication, empathy, and resilience.What We OfferDirect employment with 24hr Care Services — become part of our supportive team.Competitive salary.Comprehensive induction and ongoing training.Opportunities for career development and progression.A rewarding role where you can truly change a young person's life.Job Type: Full-timePay: €31,500.00-€38,500.00 per yearBenefits:On-site parkingApplication question(s):Can you describe your experience working with young people with High Functioning Autism, Emotional Dysregulation, or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)?
