HR and Operations Lead - Bethany House Nursing Home
Bethany House is a state of the art 90 bed HIQA registered nursing home part of the Beechfield Care Group. It has been at the heart of the Westmeath Community since 2006 delivering the highest standards of person-centred care in a homely and safe environment. The home recently opened a stunning 26 bed extension making it one of the most modern nursing home facilities in Ireland.
Bethany House Nursing Home now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamicoperations and HR professionalto take responsibility of leading local HR Operations at Bethany House Nursing Home.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure ongoing compliance with employment law and requirements, including health & safety compliance.
* Full cycle recruitment, onboarding including Garda Vetting, issuing contracts, new starter packs and off-boarding of employees.
* Ensure that staff are supported, recruited and managed in line with Beechfield Care Group Policy and Procedure, and are managed in line with budget expectations. This will include ensuring sufficient staffing is made available within the nursing home.
* New staff set up on HR information system.
* Coach managers and employees to influence high employee engagement and performance.
* Provide Learning & Development support for employees and succession planning.
* Provide Bethany House people data analytics and supporting reporting requests to Beechfield Care Group HQ.
* Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as attendance and sick leave.
* Handling, in collaboration with Group HR function,complaints and disciplinary procedures for the company
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the facilityand help keep the organization ontrack for its long-term goals and mission
* Taking minutes at meeting relevant to the day-to-day operations of the home
* Ad-hoc Operations / Administrative support as required by line manager or Beechfield Care Group HQ.
* Educational Qualification, bachelor's degree in HR, Business or in a related area.
* Evidence of HR / recruitment operations experience.
* Ability to ensure compliance of company internal policies with employment law regulations.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Programmes, including Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong follow-up skills and the ability to prioritize.
* Interested in being part of a dynamic team and providing the leadership to build a progressive local HR function.
* Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with people.
