Opportunity As a Consultant Anaesthetist in the HSE, you'll be providing high-quality consultant-led anaesthetic services, including peri-operative care, critical care, pain management, and emergency anaesthesia, in accordance with HSE, Saolta Group, and Medical Council standards.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Provide consultant-level anaesthetic services for: Elective and emergency surgery Trauma and orthopaedics General surgery and surgical subspecialties Obstetric anaesthesia (if rostered) Participate in on-call rotas, including out-of-hours emergency cover Deliver peri-operative assessment and optimisation of patients Provide critical care / ICU support where applicable Manage acute and chronic pain services, including regional anaesthesia Ensure safe anaesthetic practice in line with HIQA, HSE, and hospital policies Teaching, Training
