Instrumentation Engineer - Biopharmaceutical Process Specialist

* In this role, you will be responsible for specifying and implementing instrumentation solutions for biopharmaceutical process and utilities systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of common process and utilities instrumentation, including but not limited to load cells, pressure transmitters/gauges, pH sensors, dissolved oxygen sensors, temperature sensors, mass flow meters, UV analyzers, conductivity sensors, TOC analyzers, and level sensors.
Key responsibilities will include evaluating and specifying cGMP instrumentation for new installations and upgrades, providing technical guidance to the calibrations operations team, supporting regulatory body inspections and audits, and implementing corrective/preventative actions for existing instrumentation.
A working knowledge of process automation control systems is essential, as well as the ability to conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex instrumentation and associated systems.
Additional responsibilities will include creating and maintaining configuration specifications for cGMP manufacturing instrumentation, assisting in design reviews of equipment, reviewing and approving wiring diagrams for instrumentation and associated control systems, and preparing engineering evaluations and test plans for change control documentation.
Strong analytical and organisational skills are required, as well as good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact cross functionally.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a BEng/BS degree along with 5+ years experience for senior engineer level and 8+ years experience for principal engineer level. Experience with biopharmaceutical process and utilities systems is preferred.
