An established and innovative manufacturing organisation based in Longford is currently seeking a Lead Operator (4-Cycle Shift) to join their progressive production team.
This key role supports production efficiency, safety, and quality standards across all shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective leadership within a 25-person team.
Responsibilities
* Maintain safety and housekeeping to the highest standards in line with company GMP, customer, and policy requirements
* Participate in Health & Safety internal audits and promote a strong safety culture
* Maintain real-time IQMS system integrity, generating and issuing shift reports to the Shift Manager
* Input production data into IQMS and create work orders, print labels, and distribute DHR documentation
* Run and participate in PIT (Performance Improvement Team) meetings
* Train Operators on the use of IQMS scanners at all workstations
* Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste materials in accordance with company procedures
* Verify that the correct materials are used at each workstation and address discrepancies promptly
* Present finished goods to the warehouse in accordance with GMP and customer standards
* Ensure seamless shift handovers, providing detailed reports and updates to colleagues and management
* Identify and report key production or safety issues to the Shift Manager
* Support staff training needs and liaise with the Shift Manager to implement development plans
* In the absence of the Shift Manager, assume responsibility for shift supervision and coordination
Requirements
* Proven experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
* Good understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and familiarity with IQMS systems
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels
* Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems and maintain productivity
* High level of computer literacy, including experience with production reporting systems
* Proactive in identifying process improvements and maintaining compliance with production and safety standards
* Previous supervisory experience in a production environment preferred
* Willingness to work a 4-cycle shift pattern
Salary
Competitive hourly rate: €17.32 per hour (€37,837.80 per annum)
