The role of an Associate Counsel plays a crucial part in securing land control agreements for renewable energy projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The successful candidate will work closely with third-party service providers and internal land negotiators to achieve this goal.
Additional responsibilities may include providing legal advice on other aspects of the project development lifecycle, such as planning permission, electrical grid connection agreements, and equipment supply contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Extensive knowledge of land control in Ireland, including options, leases, rights of way, easements, and other forms of consent related to development projects.
* A proven ability to take a land control agreement from initial negotiation to registration on folio and execution.
* Good ability to balance competing priorities and maintain an attention to detail.
* Possess a very high level of attention to quality control, information retrieval, and organization.
* Proven ability to direct internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
* Excellent writing skills and interpersonal, presenting, and verbal skills in office and at development sites.
* A willingness to take the initiative and display resourcefulness.
As an experienced Solicitor, you will possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law or a related field. You should be qualified by the Law Society of Ireland or equivalent, with professional experience in the property and/or energy sectors.
With a minimum of 5 years' PQE and/or 2-6+ years in-house experience supporting property and/or energy transactions in Ireland, you will be well-equipped to navigate complex legal matters and drive results-oriented solutions.
