We are seeking a highly skilled, team-oriented individual to be a Senior Instructional Designer.
Based in the Dublin or Limerick office, this complex role requires an individual who can analyse, originate and collaborate to produce cutting-edge digital learning solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and the wider Intuition creative team to develop and deliver engaging, innovative, and effective learning experiences.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of adult learning principles, digital content development, and emerging trends in digital learning provision to support the needs of our clients and their learners.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Conducting and evaluating organisational and user needs analysis.
* Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to identify learning objectives and recommend appropriate digital learning solutions or strategies.
* Creating and curating content to include interactive techniques, metaphor design, story arcs, assessment strategy and visual elements.
* Devising the best learning solution to fit the organisational needs and learner profiles.
* Presenting and justifying the learning solution to the project stakeholders.
* Distilling large bodies of content into meaningful objectives.
* Researching and writing instructional content.
* Liaising with subject matter experts on content.
* Leveraging learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), mobile learning, A.I. and virtual learning environments to enhance learner journeys.
* Using analytics and user feedback to continuously assess, measure and improve the effectiveness of digital learning.
* Interfacing daily with clients, C-level stakeholders, and project delivery managers.
* Adhering to interactive and instructional design principles.
* Authoring and managing storyboards and scripts.
* Ensuring content accuracy and appropriateness.
Requirements:
* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and a minimum of five years’ experience in the knowledge management sector or related industries.
* Proven ability to understand the needs of an organisation and identify creative solutions.
* Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders to determine the most effective curriculum that aligns with a client’s organisational goals, strategies, and competencies.
* In-depth knowledge of learning methodologies and adult learning theories, instructional design theory, and design thinking.
* Exceptional presentation, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation and consensus-building skills.
* Strong storyboarding and storytelling skills.
* Excellent conceptualisation skills and a range of writing skills, including the ability to script for voiceover.
* The ability to be flexible, adaptable and work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as a team player.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with varied subject matter content with a diverse production team to meet challenging deadlines.
