Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Director responsible for the day-to-day finance and accounting operations across the entire Eterna International Group. The role covers core accounting execution, budgeting, and compliance across Irish and international operations, with responsibility for producing reliable financial information that management can use.
The role also works with senior management and, where applicable, ICAV fund stakeholders, and is expected to contribute practical ideas to improve financial processes, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
What You'll Do
Core finance & accounting operations
* Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including payments, receivables, invoicing, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
* Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and group reporting.
* Ensure consistency and reliability of accounting processes across entities and jurisdictions.
* Oversee bookkeeping and invoicing activities and work closely with the bookkeeper.
* Handle VAT, VIES, and CSO returns.
* Produce ad-hoc financial analyses and reports for management and, where relevant, support to fund stakeholder reporting packs.
* Financial inputs to investment memoranda, where applicable.
Reporting, analysis & improvement
* Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and support quarterly board reporting.
* Produce management reporting and profitability analysis by product, market, and office.
* Identify opportunities to improve cost control, margins, and operational efficiency.
* Contribute to the improvement and automation of finance processes, reporting, and tools.
* Produce short- and medium- term cashflow projections and expenditure.
Compliance & coordination
* Coordinate audits, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements across the Group, including fund-related reporting where applicable.
* Support multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional finance operations.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in hands-on accounting and finance roles.
* Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
* Interest in improving financial processes and using financial data to support better business decisions.
* Comfortable analysing profitability and cost structures in collaboration with senior management.
* Experience in multi-currency or multi-jurisdictional environments is an advantage.
* Practical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to operate independently.
