The Mill Maintenance Planner coordinates and oversees maintenance and improvement activities within the Mill department, ensuring full compliance with EHS standards and alignment with production targets. The successful candidate will plan and execute maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and support Boliden Tara Mines’ commitment to safety and operational excellence across the Mill, Dublin Port, Laboratory, and Tailings Storage Facility (TSF).RoleMill Maintenance PlannerMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage long- and short-term maintenance plans, including emergency response, energy management, and asset strategies.Oversee and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) routines for the Mill, Port, Lab, and TSF.Coordinate contract maintenance activities as directed.Participate in procurement processes for equipment and services.Support cost governance, budget planning, and procurement compliance.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company EHS policies.Conduct regular safety walks, risk assessments, and deliver toolbox talks and safety presentations.Maintain mechanical equipment to regulatory and industry standards to support production.Participate in condition monitoring activities such as inspections and vibration analysis.Promote continuous improvement of maintenance systems to align with best industry practices.Participate in daily department meetings and cross-functional initiatives.Collaborate with Boliden group initiatives and contribute to mill and company-wide improvement efforts.Initiate and support activities aimed at enhancing maintenance efficiency and overall department performance.Additional duties may be assigned as required to support operational and strategic objectives.Experience and QualificationsPreferably Technical Engineering qualification, with 5 years’ industrial experience.Knowledge of mining or other process industry.Operational knowledge and skills for this function including CMMS.Strong leadership skills.Maintenance management and project management skills (preferred).Strategic thinking and commitment to EHS matters.Good organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.Good speaking, reading, writing, and presenting skills in English.Experience with continuous improvement and best industry practices.Skills and CapabilitiesInitiative, reliability, flexibility, determination, integrity, and strong social/interpersonal skills.Ability to lead towards targets, communicate clearly, delegate with trust, show commitment, coach and develop people, act with integrity, and lead by example.Additional InformationThis role will be full-time, permanent, based in Navan, County Meath.The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 07:30-16:00 per day.There will be a degree of flexibility required as part of this role in line with operational requirements.We strive to achieve diversity and inclusion among our employees and therefore welcome all applicants.Your application will be processed in accordance with the GDPR.Closing date for applications is 23rd September 2025.To apply please visit www.Boliden.com and search "Careers".
