A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with over 30 years of industry experience is seeking a Client Design Liaison to join their growing team in Dublin. This is a client-facing role with full project lifecycle ownership across Ireland's pharma and industrial sectors.
The Role
The Client Design Team Liaison is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects across a live site environment, acting as the primary interface between the Client and internal design teams. The role sits within the Customer Management team and provides day‑to‑day support to the Client, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and alignment between facility‑based client stakeholders and internal office‑based multidisciplinary design teams. The position supports the delivery of projects in accordance with client requirements and project management standards, facilitating structured, coordinated, and compliant delivery across the full project lifecycle from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interface & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day design‑related matters between the Client and the internal team
Develop and maintain effective working relationships between facility‑based client teams and internal design teams
Attend client meetings, workshops and site visits, and prepare and distribute meeting records
Conduct all internal and external communication with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Act as first point of escalation for project coordination issues and facilitate timely resolution
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
Support Project Managers in maintaining alignment with programme, scope and fee constraints
Support coordination of multidisciplinary design teams across multiple projects
Assist in managing delivery of design services in line with programme, client brief and KPIs
Work with Project Managers to ensure alignment of design outputs across disciplines
Support planning and coordination of design activities across internal teams and external stakeholders
Information & Document Management
Assist in coordination of new project requests and RFQs, including initial scope walkdowns and distribution to discipline leads
Work closely with our internal Document Controller to ensure QA/QC procedures for document and drawing control are maintained
Support compliance with project and site document control protocols
Site & Operational Interface
Interface with site teams to ensure alignment with site standards and operational requirements
Work with site drawing offices and engineering teams to ensure consistent application of standards across disciplines
Coordinate site access for design team personnel, including inductions, permits, PPE and associated controls
Resource & Admin Support
Support coordination of design team resources, including leave tracking and coverage planning
Carry out project and team administration duties as required
Reporting & KPI Tracking
Assist in preparation of monthly reporting on design delivery performance against KPIs
Support tracking of project progress, deliverables and coordination milestones
Maintain accurate records of project activities and communications
