Ideal Candidate:
Will be an Irish Citizen, who has the right to work in the UK. Has NVQ’s and coding for Stick and TIG welding.
This job is in Somerset, UK on the huge new Nuclear build. Travel, living allowance and great unionised pay for the right candidate.
The Employer:
Our client operates within multiple sectors including Oil & Gas, Construction, and Nuclear. You could work on a range of projects ensuring high standards of workmanship are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
* Perform Stick and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
* Set up welding machines and equipment and maintain them in safe working order.
* Conduct quality control checks and inspections on completed welds for conformity.
* Collaborate effectively with project teams and other trades to ensure successful project completion.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, complying with safety regulations and procedures.
* Assist in training and guiding less experienced welders when necessary.
* Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Stick and TIG Welder in a similar industrial setting.
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
* Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
* Experience working with various metals, including stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed.
