We are seeking an Application Development Lead for the P&R team's Payments Product Processor development team.
The successful candidate will interact with key stakeholders from product, operations, and other teams for handling application activities and new projects.
The candidate will also work with the development Project Manager, the development, testing, and production support teams, as well as other departments within Citigroup (such as the System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Centre Operations, and Change Control groups) for TTS platforms.
The candidate should be well versed with GPPSP payments product with strong expertise on product technical, deployment & functional behavior.
Responsibilities
Custom develop, customize, and integrate solutions for a complete platform meeting business needs
Implement GPPSP product globally, providing robust hardware and software solutions
Design, code, test, document, and implement application release projects
Act as GPPSP SME, designing payment flows and providing solutions
Be experienced with payment schemes (e.g., Faster Payments) and messaging (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT)
Build enterprise transaction systems focused on recovery, stability, scalability, and performance
Work with JMS/MQ applications (technical exposure preferred)
Collaborate with Program Management and QC teams, ensuring SDLC/Info Sec compliance and proactive risk notification
Leadership Skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
Demonstrate strong responsibility and deliver quickly
Communicate effectively, documenting technical and functional specifications clearly
Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and business skills
Build relationships and promote teamwork across global teams
Manage negotiations, difficult conversations, and prioritization effectively
Flexible to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities
Promote continuous process improvement, especially in code quality, testability, and reliability
Qualifications
Extensive relevant experience
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
