Overview

Service Context
Our SEQOHS‑accredited Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service (OHWS) is a clinically led, multidisciplinary team of occupational health nurses, physicians, physiotherapists, and psychological therapists, delivering services to NHS Highland staff, independent contractors, and commissioned external clients.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist Nurse Practitioner for the role of Service Manager, reporting directly to the Clinical Director of Occupational Health Services. This post carries responsibility for professional nursing leadership, clinical governance, and operational management of the OH nursing function, alongside a retained clinical caseload of complex management and self‑referral assessments. You will lead SEQOHS quality assurance, SLA and KPI performance, and staff management and development, and will represent the service at key governance committees including Health & Safety, Infection Control, and Staff Governance.
Role Responsibilities

Lead SEQOHS quality assurance, SLA and KPI performance.
Manage staff and staff development.
Represent the service at governance committees including Health & Safety, Infection Control, and Staff Governance.
Act as subject matter expert of the Board's Health and Safety Committee, contributing to the Health and Wellbeing Strategy and broader staff health and service improvement programmes.

Qualifications

Current NMC registration.
BSc (Hons) in Occupational Health Nursing or equivalent specialist qualification.
Minimum of five years post‑qualification OH experience with demonstrable management and leadership capability.
Valid UK driving licence (essential given the geographic scope of the role).
