Job Title: High-Level Digital IC Architect
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Digital IC Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing complex digital systems and will be responsible for designing and specifying system blocks including RISC/ARM processors, DSP cores, and communications interfaces.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and specifying IC architectures with a focus on power efficiency and performance.
* Developing digital sub-systems including RISC/ARM processors, DSP cores, and communications interfaces.
* Verifying design blocks at block-level, system-level, and chip-level.
* Participating in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
* Leading design reviews for assigned areas of responsibility.
* Evaluating FPGA prototypes and implementing power control schemes for real-world scenarios.
* Designing low-power ASICs from concept through to post-layout evaluation.
* Integrating chips, synthesizing designs, developing constraints, achieving timing closure, and providing backend support.
* Implementing Design-For-Testability (DFT) techniques including ATPG.
* Maintaining engineering documents according to quality processes.
* Tracking and implementing design improvements.
* Supporting test-engineering, product engineering, and operations, as well as participating in ATE data reviews, limit reviews, and device yield analysis.
Requirements:
* PhD or postgraduate degree qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in digital circuit design in ASIC/SOC environments.
* Familiarity with power conversion techniques.
* Proficiency in Verilog RTL coding, simulation, and synthesis.
* Experience with FPGA prototyping.
* Digital Signal Processor and/or computational hardware design experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Flexibility in adapting to different roles and environments.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
