Senior Financial Accountant Reports to: Group Financial Controller My client is a fast-growing fmcg company with a global reach. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance, while supporting commercial decision-making in a fast-paced SME environment. This is a hands-on role with visibility across the business and close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams. This is a newly created role due to expansion. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and insightful commentary Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and robust reconciliations Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations Produce monthly sales and margin reporting by product, brand, customer and region Perform discount and promotional analysis Conduct product cost analysis Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations Oversee working capital management Lead cashflow planning and forecasting Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting Strengthen and maintain internal financial controls Manage statutory audits and external reporting requirements Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and other tax filings Oversee inventory accounting and stock valuations Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems Partner with commercial, operations and marketing teams to provide financial insight Support ad-hoc projects and business growth initiatives The person: Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience Experience within FMCG, manufacturing or operations finance Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proactive mindset Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and international teams Solid understanding of inventory management, margins and cost control Demonstrates resilience and ability to work on own initiative A strong team player, with the ability to influence and inspire Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Salary: €75k - €85k plus benefits Hybrid working, 3 days on site Skills: Senior Accountant Management Accountant
