As part of continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Powertrain / Battery Management Engineer to take technical ownership of battery systems, energy performance, and powertrain reliability across multiple product platforms.
This is a senior technical role, offering significant influence over system design, validation, and future technology direction.
As a Senior Powertrain / Battery Management Engineer, you will lead the design, testing, and optimisation of battery and power systems, with a strong focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS), energy modelling, and performance efficiency.
You will work closely with electronics, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure safe, scalable, and production-ready power solutions.
Requirements : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Power, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline 6+ years' experience in battery systems, power electronics, or energy storage applications Strong understanding of battery chemistries and BMS design Experience with SOC/SOH monitoring, cell balancing, protection strategies, and thermal control Hands-on experience with lithium-ion battery technologies (. NMC, LCO, LiPo) Battery testing and validation (capacity, energy, internal resistance, thermal behaviour) Automation of test procedures where applicable Energy modelling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools Experience with charging systems, modular or swappable battery packs, and power distribution Understanding of thermal management, EMI/EMC principles, and inrush protection IF/When you are interested in this role reach out to Daniel Brown at Reperio Human Capital to find out more!
