Maintenance Fitter - Full-Time, Permanent

Monday - Thursday 12:00am - 07:30am, Friday 7:30pm - 04:30am
About the Role
A full-time permanent position has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Fitter within the Maintenance Department.
The primary focus of this role is to achieve maximum asset uptime through planned and preventative maintenance activities on a range of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, and install mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on site assets.
* Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify and correct equipment faults.
* Work independently with OEM representatives and external contractors on maintenance, repairs, and installations.
* Promote and uphold a proactive and positive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with safe working practices.
* Use CMMS to generate, manage, and record planned, reactive, and project maintenance tasks.
* Liaise with OEM contacts and vendors to diagnose faults, order, and source replacement parts.
* Support and participate in continuous improvement projects and trials.
* Complete all tasks safely and in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with Engineering, Production, and Quality personnel.
Requirements
* Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment
* Strong technical ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
* Proven fault-finding and problem-solving capability
* Excellent interpersonal and professional conduct
