St Canices Credit Union has an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious, forward looking and strategic thinking management team. St. Canices Credit Union is a not-for-profit organisation and one of the largest community credit unions in the country. With 70,000 plus members and a diverse product base, St. Canices Credit Union is now seeking a Strategic Marketing & Transformation Manager. This role will lead the Credit Unions marketing, brand and communications strategy, while driving digital transformation initiatives to support growth, member engagement, and enhance the member experience. The role will combine strategic oversight with hands on leadership, ensuring the Credit Union remains at the forefront of innovation and transformation. The role will be responsible for supporting the Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the development and implementation of the marketing strategy, growth of credit union and its membership, and delivery of products and services aligned with members needs and the strategic goals of the credit union. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a marketing and digital growth strategy aligned with the Credit Union strategic plan In consultation with the COO and CEO, develop and agree key financial targets, in line with the strategic and operational business goals. Create a marketing and sales plan that develops and aligns product (loans, insurances etc.) with the demographics and needs of those within the addressable common bond area Ensure the continued success of established marketing activities across a range of platforms and technologies. Agree and monitor all aspects of budget for marketing and set KPIs re costs and benefits of initiatives Marketing & Brand Lead brand strategy to strengthen market visibility and trust across the common bond. Oversee the design and implementation of multi-channel campaigns that deliver measurable results Interrogation and ongoing analysis of the Credit Unions database of information and the design and development of direct marketing campaigns to members To provide support to line managers and key stakeholders of the business in order to ensure the successful implementation of targets, goals and objectives from the strategic plan Report quarterly to the Board on progress, challenges and opportunities, as well as engaging with senior management to ensure cross team collaboration and support. Collaborate with Risk & Compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks across all member engagement channels. Digital Transformation & Growth Champion a member first approach to digital innovation ensuring accessibility, usability, and security. Develop and implement innovative membership growth strategies in line with the Strategic Plan and products that will deliver sustainable growth. Provide analytical support and aid decision-making, conducting ad hoc analysis of business challenges, opportunities and implications of changes Oversee the move to a more digital based marketing strategy for the credit union, across a variety of advertising and promotional channels. Evaluate and implement new technologies including CRM platforms, mobile apps, and data analytic tools. Communications & Member Experience Lead internal and external communication strategies to support reputation management and stakeholder trust. Act as a spokesperson where required, ensuring clear, consistent and impactful messaging. Manage all external PR related activities and communications to ensure consistency of message throughout Communicate transformation goals and progress to internal and external stakeholders Responsible for oversight of internal and external event planning Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements Attend and contribute to meetings of such committees as may be directed by the CEO The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business The successful candidate should have the following; Third level qualification specifically in Business, Marketing or aligned topic. Significant experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within financial services or regulated industries. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans Exceptional communication and leadership abilities Commercially driven with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Project management skills and experience In-depth knowledge of digital marketing trends and tool. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing strategic marketing plans that drive business growth.
