Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist and Tool Designer to join our manufacturing engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing precision tooling fixtures, prototype molds, and functional prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program set up and operate 3/4/5 axis machines.
* Machine a variety of materials to create precision tooling fixtures, molds, and prototypes.
* Analyse specs, determine required tools and equipment, and apply material expertise and machining strategies.
* Interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches, or non-dimensioned CAD models to plan and carry out efficient high-quality machining.
* Ensure machined parts meet all dimensional, surface finish, and functional standards.
* Choose the best, most efficient machining methods without compromising quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Level 6 engineering/toolmaking trade qualification.
* 5+ years experience in medical device manufacturing.
* Strong CNC programming skills for complex prototype work.
* Multi-axis machining experience required.
* Proficient in 3D CAD & CAM software.
* Experienced in 3D machining.
* Skillled in machining titanium, stainless steel, tool steels, ESD plastics, ceramics, and engineering plastics.
