We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of construction projects in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements. The Project Manager will oversee their site team in Roscommon.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in line with agreed budgets, schedules, and specifications.
Ensure strict compliance with HSQE Management Systems and promote a strong safety culture on site.
Supervise, mentor, and support site teams, providing technical guidance and leadership.
Manage resource planning including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Oversee procurement processes, liaising with purchasing and negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors.
Ensure all permits, licences, and regulatory requirements are obtained and maintained.
Maintain close communication with clients, consultants, and representatives, attending regular progress meetings.
Review, interpret, and manage contract documents, specifications, and design requirements.
Co-ordinate temporary and permanent works design, ensuring required certifications are in place.
Monitor project progress, evaluate performance, and report on programme, finance, risks, and opportunities to the Regional Director.
Manage project variations, scope changes, and contract notifications in accordance with company and client requirements.
Prepare construction budgets, forecasts, progress reports, and client accounts.
Collaborate with the Project Quantity Surveyor for cost control and valuation of works.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to promote repeat business opportunities.
Provide updates and feedback to HQ on current and completed projects as per company procedures.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Membership of a relevant Professional Institution (Chartered or working towards Chartership desirable).
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager (2+ years for Site Agent level).
Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale construction projects.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and safety regulations.
Full clean Irish/EU/UK driving licence.
Eligible to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Visa accepted).
