We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Leader to drive our Direct/Raw Materials category forward. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in end-to-end procurement strategies and successful global category execution.
About the Role:
* Develops and executes sourcing strategies to optimize value within the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Leads cross-functional teams to solve sourcing needs when supply market analysis is required, fostering collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
* Manages all aspects of sourcing events, including RFP/RFQ/RFI processes, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
* Drives global/local market sourcing initiatives to optimize value, quality, innovation, speed to market, or other business needs, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
* Identifies global/local supply market projects and applies sourcing tools to optimize benefits for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing: Develops and implements global/local sourcing strategies to enhance supplier relationships and improve overall category performance.
2. Negotiation: Responsible for negotiating commercial terms of contractual agreements with suppliers/spend under management, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
3. Supplier/SRM: Develops and implements strategies to drive supplier performance objectives and contracted outcomes, promoting collaborative partnerships.
4. Continuous Improvement: Supports continuous improvements of the source-to-contract process and participates in department-wide initiatives, driving process excellence.
5. Direct Materials Management: Works with stakeholders to support the use of contracted suppliers for spend categories under management, ensuring seamless integration.
Requirements:
* Working knowledge of Sourcing Contracting, ERP, eRFX systems preferred.
* Ability to leverage standard business applications for communicating, presenting, and analyzing.
* Previous leadership/supervisorial experience preferred, with a proven track record of success.
* Advanced level proficiency using negotiations skills, cost modeling knowledge, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to formulate presentations and business cases, build consensus, teamwork, and creativity within a collaborative team.
* Program management experience and project management experience required.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's plus 8+ years of relevant, progressive experience, preferably including 6 years directly in sourcing Pharma/Biotech.
* Master's plus 6+ years of relevant, progressive experience, preferably including 4 years directly in sourcing within Pharma/Biotech.
