We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, supporting both salaried and hourly-paid employees. This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be onsite in our Sligo office two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Process payrolls for salaried staff and temporary agency workers (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly).
* Handle timesheet and clock card submissions, including adjustments for overtime, bonuses, shift allowances and other variables.
* Manage payroll administration for temporary employees joining and leaving the business.
* Process payroll deductions.
* Ensure full compliance with statutory obligations (PAYE, PRSI, USC, LPT, BIK).
* Respond to employee and client payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
* Perform benefit-in-kind (BIK) calculations and processing.
* Calculate and report on annual leave.
* Submit payroll files through online banking platforms.
* Provide payroll support to Consultants and Managers across the business.
* Draft and issue employment contracts for temporary agency workers.
Key Requirements
* A payroll qualification (e.g. IPASS) or a relevant accounting qualification.
* A minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience, ideally in a busy or high-volume environment.
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required).
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* A team player who can prioritise, meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.
