Currently, we are hiring a R&D Project Manager to support our Automotive client in Galway.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Apply the specific PDP of PG/PL following CPM (CLEAN Project Management)
* In charge of the robust design in line with the economic targets
* Applies Standardisation rules, exceptionally will request the standardisations based on sound justifications
* Call for all necessary design reviews
* Make sure that Design Reviews of other networks are happening in a timely manner (Purchase, Industrial)
* Represent the R&D function at the customer
* Interface with the customer for the R&D subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs
* Report and escalate to project manager or R&D manager as needed
* Daily management of all R&D contributors, dedicated or not
* Assign contributors the work packages needed
* Regular review with R&D manager or Product Manager and the Discipline Department Managers to check alignment between needs and availabilities
Authority
* Accountable for the deliverables of R&D due to ensure the success of the project
* Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting of R&D activities
* Empowered by R&D Manager to manage their Contributors
* Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment’s, investments
* Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones
* Follow activities and spending of scope to meet allowed budget
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D project management in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or another similar environment
* Experience in dealing with customers with the ability to interpret customer requests with clear communication.
* Fluent in English with a clear and confident communication ability
* Extensive experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools
