As we continue our journey toward becoming Irelands most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of E-Commerce to join our business. As Head of E-Commerce, you will work with the Managing Director to develop and implement the e-commerce strategy for our Brands. The Head of E-Commerce will play a pivotal role in designing the short, medium and long-term strategy for our Wholesale brands and our Retail Brands, including Musgrave MarketPlace, La Rousse Foods and Daybreak among others. You will also oversee the development and execution of the marketing strategy and customer service strategy for the Wholesale and Foodservice business. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader who can lead and inspire a team, collaborate effectively across the business, and drive the achievement of business goals through innovative e-commerce initiatives. Responsibilities E-Commerce Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy across digital, marketing and customer service that aligns with the companys overall business objectives. Drive delivery of online sales targets through detailed understanding and comprehensive data led analysis of performance drivers and appropriate actions. Create an online measurement framework to manage performance of active online shoppers, their spend and frequency of purchase and using these insights to improve and drive performance. Lead and mentor a team of Digital, eCommerce, Marketing and Customer Service. Specialists, fostering a collaborative, high-performance and inclusive culture, Manage and allocate OpEx budget with a clear focus on ROI. Build, optimise and execute customer lifecycle strategy. Design and implement a leading wholesale digital online experience through on-site merchandising, promotional activities and incremental website improvements Research and define the wholesale sales and marketing proposition and drive initiatives that attract customers to our service. Partner with Musgrave Wholesale Partners across retail and foodservice to understand their problems and develop plans to overcome these challenges. Work closely with the management team to understand business needs and translate them into effective e-commerce campaigns across all our platforms online and offline Analyse market trends and customer insights to inform e-commerce strategies and tactics. Ensure brand consistency across all e-commerce channels and communications. Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimise performance and impact. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations to keep the company at the forefront of the market. Marketing Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the companys overall business objectives. Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance and inclusive culture. Work closely with the management team and influence the management team to understand business needs and translate them into effective marketing campaigns. Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including digital, print, and in-store promotions. Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximise return on investment. Analyse market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications. Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimise performance. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations to keep the company at the forefront of the market. Customer Service Provide overall strategic direction, vision and leadership for the Customer Services in line with the overall strategy Drive high performance service delivery for the customers to be more proactive and predictive based on the insights available Challenge existing practice and identify new and better ways of working and structuring services for the future. Work with the Head of Customer Service to lead a digital transformation that will deliver the ambitious transformation plans. Adopt a highly collaborative approach that ensures resources are brought together from across the organisation to identify and deliver a broad range of service improvements that promote a progressive and innovative culture within Customer Service function Contribute to the success of the Wholesale and Foodservice business and Musgrave Participate effectively in the Management Team by contributing to the establishment and delivery of company direction and strategy, and the achievement of the divisions overall objectives. Provide support for Musgrave-wide initiatives in areas of expertise, as required. Monitor current market dynamics, competitor activity and emerging trends and their potential impact on the business or that of our customers and ensure appropriate plans are in place to protect the business performance. Ensure that management practices remain true to the values of Musgrave. Work cross-functionally to review all departmental plans and budgets in line with strategic objectives and fostering inter-departmental co-operation. Leadership and Talent Development Lead and develop a team of Digital, eCommerce, Marketing and Customer Service. Specialists to ensure that they have the skill sets, resources and support needed to achieve our business objectives, and that they operate in a manner consistent with the values and guiding principles of Musgrave. Build a sustainable, high performing, inclusive and engaged team by providing clear direction, stretch targets and regular reviews to manage all levels of performance. Demonstrate the Musgrave leadership skills and values holding self and others accountable for meeting and exceeding objectives and maximise the potential of team members to encourage and sponsor talent to ensure succession in the division and across the organisation; positively influence company culture in line with company values. Communicate clearly and positively to engage all colleagues to ensure they understand their role in delivering the brands business objectives. Challenge the Management team and actively coach and mentor team members and develop talent for the future. The successful candidate will have / be: 10 years plus progressive experience in e-commerce, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record as a strategic leader who establishes relationships quickly and has a collaborative approach Experience of working in fast paced, complex business environments and delivering high quality business outcomes Proven track record of developing and executing successful e-commerce strategies. Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels across the business and to get things done demonstrating appropriate humility and people motivation skills Strong people management and team leadership skills and the ability to lead by example; promote and develop a strong team approach Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, and SEO. Experience managing an e-commerce budget and optimising resources. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Creative thinker with a passion for e-commerce and innovation. Able to present ideas and concepts coherently and effectively Energetic - a sense of urgency, proactive with a strong work ethic Ability to develop, communicate and implement practical and commercially effective business solutions Degree in E-Commerce, Business, or a related field or relevant experience Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
