We are excited to announce an opening for an Equipment Development Engineer with our client, a Global - Medical Device organisation in Athlone. This is a 12-month fixed term contract with a generous hourly rate.
The successful candidate will lead equipment development projects that support site and global strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Equipment & Automation expert with a high level of equipment, systems & software understanding.
Responsible for equipment vendor selection and ongoing vendor management.
Leads all stages equipment development and integration including URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT, IQ, & Software Validation.
Leads major equipment projects to support site KPI’s and strategies including Safety, Cost & Obsolescence.
Leads equipment risk assessments through equipment development & implementation phases.
Responsible for identifying equipment/tooling obsolescence and initiating programs for replacement.
Responsible for developing safe and ergonomically acceptable equipment.
Responsible for risk assessment and mitigation of equipment changes using the MOC process.
Supports equipment, component & software obsolescence programs.
Support Manufacturing scale up and integration of new equipment.
Requirements
Minimum of a level 8 qualification, preferably in an engineering discipline that supports Equipment, Process & Software development & integration.
The ability to understand technical data/specifications would be expected.
Previous Experience in Medical Device or GMP pertaining to ISO13485 standards would be desirable.
Previous Experience using GAMP 4 & 5 equipment standards.
Experience in Equipment & Software validation.
Exposure to Medical Device Validation, Lean and Six Sigma would be desirable.
Experience with Electrical circuits, PLC’s & IT/OT integration would be desirable.
Ability to lead multiple projects and to communicate and provide regular updates on project status.
