Job Title: Senior Cost Manager
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Cost Manager to oversee the financial management of our construction projects in the Cork area.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely cost advice, cost planning, and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. They will work closely with the commercial manager and be provided with adequate training and mentorship to excel in their position.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation & finalise subcontract orders
* Financial & commercial management of subcontractors to Final Account completion
* Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations
* Assisting in the site records & document control Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting clients' commercial & contractual entitlement Manage & oversee AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 4 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
* Excellent communication, negotiation and computer skills
* Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships
