Vice President, Technical Program Management
Responsibilities
Works across Solution Design, Engineering and Delivery teams to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring all teams are delivering in a coordinated manner
Tracks and manages manifest definitions, release integration, timing, scope and delivery
Provides ongoing updates (with data) on the state of delivery
Proactively manages all dependencies, ensuring all outputs are production ready at launch
Lead a global organization defining the structures and operating mechanisms that optimize the skills, execution methodology and your management team into your organization
Drive a data driven and continuous learning culture across your organization
Ensure team culture consistently demonstrates alignment with leadership principles; visibly ties department decisions to leadership principles and tenets
Define and build your own scorecard to continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators and use this data to drive incremental improvements across engineering
Rigorously inspect the delivery plans and execution metrics of your TPMs using your own tech depth and business acumen to assess risks and continuously raising the delivery bar
Provide technical and program delivery thought leadership for the organization
Build and cultivate strong internal customer relationships to establish engagement models for your team and ensure delivery is in alignment with expectations
Manage escalations
Actively encourage the development of your managers and your technical staff while continuously raising the bar on performance, technical depth, program management results, and people management as you hire new technical program managers
Demonstrate and differentiate performance and leadership bar across multiple levels and apply to hiring decisions
Plan and advocate for department resources
Experiences
Extensive experience delivering technical programs
Proven track record of data driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams
Comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and CI/CD
Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
Demonstrate experience building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of the individual engineers across the organization
Demonstrate experience as a people manager with the ability to attract, recruit, and develop technical talent
