DevOps Engineer
A technology organisation is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support and evolve a global, AWS-based, serverless platform. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability, observability, and security within a distributed engineering team.
Responsibilities
1. Manage AWS infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, ECS) and serverless components.
2. Support deployments using Terraform/CloudFormation.
3. Monitor systems, maintain dashboards, and configure alerts.
4. Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation.
5. Implement security best practices, IAM policies, and secrets management.
6. Optimise cloud costs and support multi-region reliability.
7. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
8. 5+ years in DevOps/Infrastructure/SRE roles.
9. Strong AWS experience, especially with serverless services.
10. Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
11. Experience with observability tools (ELK, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
12. CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
13. Strong incident response, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
14. Security-minded with experience in IAM and secrets management.
15. Comfortable with an on-call rotation.
Nice to Have
16. Experience with Kafka/Kafka Connect.
17. Familiarity with platforms like Vercel, Clerk, or Inngest.
18. Knowledge of monorepos ( and cloud cost optimisation.
