Job Description:
The Lead Operations Engineer directs daily the operations site team and its associated activities to ensure that the data center is operated and maintained safely, within service level agreements, and with minimal risk. The primary point of contact undertakes day-to-day management of all activities of the technical operations site team, ensuring that all reactive and planned maintenance tasks are delivered to agreed timelines and service level agreements/key performance indicators.
This includes overseeing all on-site works, leading response to building services infrastructure issues, coordinating with site engineers, and engaging third-party specialists when necessary. The successful candidate will manage planned and reactive maintenance tasks on building services infrastructure, ensuring compliance with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and operational procedures.
A key responsibility is monitoring service level agreement compliance, communicating effectively with client representatives, and facilitating incident management processes. Additional duties include providing support to data center and site management teams, including communication assistance, technical information provision, and holiday/sickness coverage coordination.
The ideal candidate must be self-driven, well-organized, and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail. Strong customer focus and reliability are essential, along with setting high standards of personal commitment.
