Position Summary The Strategic Business Partner - Technology acts as the key link between business units and IT, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic goals.
The role builds strong partnerships, drives innovation, and delivers measurable business value through IT initiatives.
It also includes Business Analysis responsibilities-gathering requirements, improving processes, and supporting solution delivery that enhances efficiency and performance.
This position manages a small on-site IT support team while collaborating closely with international headquarters.
Key Responsibilities * Advise business leaders on technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise priorities.
* Develop business cases for IT investments and measurable outcomes.
* Lead annual planning to prioritise initiatives that deliver value.
* Identify innovation opportunities and industry best practices.
Capture and prioritise IT requests, ensuring alignment with budgets and capacity.
* Partner with PMO and delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution.
* Track initiative progress, KPIs, and business impact.
* Ensure IT solutions deliver expected outcomes and ROI.
* Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system enhancements.
* Promote adoption through engagement, training, and change management.
* Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned.
* Serve as primary liaison between business units and IT.
* Translate technical concepts into clear business language.
* Build trust through responsiveness and transparency.
* Facilitate stakeholder meetings to maintain alignment.
* Partner with architects, designers, and developers to build scalable solutions.
* Influence teams without direct authority to drive consensus.
* Champion best practices and frameworks across the organisation.
* Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
* Conduct workshops to analyse current and future-state workflows.
* Create process maps, user stories, and data flow documentation.
* Support solution design, UAT, and testing to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Maintain clear and up-to-date requirements, process, and training documentation.
* Ensure materials align with organisational standards.
* Manage on-site IT support staff and infrastructure.
* Oversee systems, servers, and hardware maintenance.
* Manage department budgets and purchasing with Group IT.
Education & Certifications * Bachelor's in Business, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
* BRMP, CBRM, CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA desirable.
* ITIL, Agile, Scrum, or PMP certifications a plus.
Experience * 7-10 years in IT or business roles, with 3-5 in business analysis or liaison roles.
* Proven record of managing stakeholders and delivering IT-driven value.
* Experience in enterprise environments with multiple systems and priorities.
* Familiar with digital transformation, ERP, cloud, and analytics platforms.
* Retail experience preferred.

* Skilled at translating business needs into technical solutions.
* Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
