Responsibilities:
* Acts as the HR partner of plant manager to build an innovative, performance-driven, dynamic and high-impact organization; is member of plant leadership team;
* Support key business transformation initiatives, driving continuous improvement around organizational design, culture change and employee engagement. Also support the implementation of cost efficiency initiatives and restructuring as required.
* Coach and guide line managers around employee relations issues including disciplinaries, absence management and grievances.
* Responsible for setting up AOP (Annual Operating Plan) budgets on salaries, training, benefits (labor cost);
* Monitors during the year, together with finance and plant managers, the evolution of cost vs. AOP budget and proposes actions to keep cost on track;
* Together with plant manager/ department managers analyzes and identifies people requirements within a given business area and coordinates/ contributes to the design, development and implementation of organizational changes;
* Supports the Plant Manager in preparation and presentation of the management resource review
* Ensures the production of timely, accurate and up-to-date HR management information and statistics as required by the management
* Drives and manages LER (Labor and Employment Relations); drives information, consultation, negotiation processes with the union (together with the Plant Manager)
* Makes recommendations regarding salary offers, promotional increases, bonuses and validates them according with Garrett procedures;
* Coordinates and continuously improves employee engagement; company culture; working environment with respect to diversity and inclusion; internal and external communications;
* Develops and maintains positive labor environment;
* Provides training for managers and employees on Garrett Performance and Development process, Compensation Philosophy and salary increases planning;
* Designs, implements and supports annual appraisal process for shop floor employees;
* Develops, together with business partners and COEs, the different staffing and workforce flexibility strategies; manages the staffing process
* Drives a performance management culture which continually seeks to raise the bar; differentiates pay for performance; rewards and recognizes key performers with upper quartile pay for upper quartile performance; and addresses those with performance shortfalls
* Creates, modifies and/ or implements all HR related procedures regarding staffing, training, hiring, compensation, disciplinary, payroll, time and attendance, etc
* Analyzes the country training needs, develops annual training plan, approves training proposals received from other departments; evaluates effectiveness of training programs;
* Responsible for implementing company values in the entire organization;
* Participates in management meetings meant to analyze the status and adequacy of the Quality System;
* Responsible for organizational development for each of the GEM (Garrett Excellence Model) phases in the plant.
* Attends all meetings at which their function is required (daily meetings at 1,2,3 or 4 level, as appropriate, or weekly / monthly, etc. meetings)
* Contributes actively to continuously improve plant performance: consistently identifies opportunities to eliminate losses and proposes solutions for the improvement of their own activities and of the plant.
Your profile:
* Bachelor's degree or above preferably in HR field
* Course on Labor Law
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR related areas independently driving HR agenda, experience in manufacturing and unionized environment essential
* Previous relevant experience with advanced production management tools (Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma)
* Experience in people management is an advantage
* Successful track record of initiating People strategies to support business growth
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written;
* Strong project management skills and ability to lead through influence
* Excellent communication skills with people of different backgrounds; global mindset and ability to operate in a multicultural and matrix environment;
* Ireland Employee / Labour Relations experience
