Job Description
As a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will lead the development of an evidence-based stroke service within an esteemed acute facility. This opportunity involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to shape acute stroke and rehabilitation pathways across our hospital group.
* Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
* Lead on complex cases, service development, and best-practice approaches.
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and healthcare teams to optimise patient care.
* Engage in research, CPD, and professional leadership at regional and national levels.
* Drive quality improvement, service evaluation, and innovation within stroke care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Expertise in stroke rehabilitation and dysphagia management are essential for this role. You should also possess:
* Leadership skills to support SLT colleagues and the wider team.
* A passion for evidence-based practice, service development, and research.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary teamwork.
