Seeking a visionary ecologist to lead our ecological consultancy services. The ideal candidate will oversee high-profile projects, providing expert ecological input and ensuring delivery of exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage individual contracts, guaranteeing timely delivery of high-quality ecological services
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success
* Plan, execute, and supervise ecological surveys and fieldwork activities
* Develop and implement effective Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)
* Lead the preparation of strategic environmental reports and assessments
* Produce outstanding technical reports and deliverables
* Ensure quality control across all project outputs, focusing on precision, timeliness, and continuous improvement
* Maintain strong client relationships and participate in key stakeholder meetings
Skill Requirements
* A degree in ecology or a related field
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in environmental consultancy
* Membership in a reputable professional body, such as CIEEM or CIWEM
* Proven track record as an expert witness and participation in oral hearings
* In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation
* Exceptional technical writing skills
* Demonstrated expertise in preparing and implementing CEMPs
* Proven ability to work effectively within diverse teams
* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
