About the Company A packaging company, based in South Dublin, is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager work with their team to develop a robust strategic procurement function and to manage and operate this function to the highest industry standard.

You will take the lead on developing the procurement function to operate as efficiently.
This client is focused on category and strategic sourcing and creating structures and programs related to their environment and the long-term improvement of their facility About the Position The Procurement Specialist will manage the strategic sourcing function for the business.
You will regulate and monitor all categories for the organisation.
The role will focus on managing efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
Working closely with all departments you will identify process improvement and cost management saving opportunities to help the overall success of the facility.
Experience/Requirements Within this role you will be involved in Key strategic decision making related to procurement Strategic sourcing in Europe and Asia.
Internal client management Provide market analysis to support strategy development Manage external supplier to ensure best practice supply Manage negotiations with vendors/suppliers Operational efficiencies across the procurement function Manage risk and improve sustainability across the function Manage framework agreements where required.
For this role you are required to have; A min of 8 years procurement experience.
Experienced working in a continuous improvement environment would be beneficial A strategic thinker and experience in planning You will have the drive and ability to negotiate contracts and SLAs Experience working in the manufacturing sector ideally Have an interest in sustainability Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
