Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in a day service setting.
About the Role:
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement person-centred care plans, support daily living activities, and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each individual.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide nursing care and support to service users in accordance with individual care plans
* Administer and manage prescribed medications, maintaining accurate records
* Collaborate with the service manager and team to implement and review person-centred plans (PCPs)
* Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
* Liaise with families and external professionals to support holistic care
* Participate in staff meetings, training, and development initiatives
* Support service users in daily activities, including personal care, meals, and community engagement
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse qualification and NMC registration
* Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Basic IT skills
