What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the electrical pre‑construction and bid management process from enquiry through to project handover
Developing winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E Design & Build tenders
Coordinating Electrical Estimators, Design Engineers, Planners, and Bid Teams
Reviewing electrical technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
Managing electrical design development and technical compliance throughout tender stages
Identifying project risks, long‑lead electrical equipment requirements, and programme constraints
Driving value engineering opportunities and innovative electrical solutions
Leading supply chain engagement with key electrical manufacturers and subcontractors
Managing tender programmes and ensuring submissions meet client requirements and deadlines
Preparing and delivering technical presentations and tender interviews with clients and consultants
Supporting seamless handover from Pre‑Construction to Operations and Project Delivery teams
Monitoring market trends, bid performance, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical Building Services or M&E sector
At least 5 years in a Pre‑Construction, Senior Estimating, or Electrical Bid Management role
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management
Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, infrastructure, and building services delivery
Experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or large commercial projects
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of JCT / NEC contracts
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
Proficient in estimating software, MS Project / Asta, and digital construction platforms
