About The Plaza Hotel Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conferencefacilities &excellent cuisine. Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4-star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries. The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuitebedroomsalong with a number of large suites.Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4meeting suitesallow forconferences and eventsof all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people. Responsibilities: Position Summary: The Cluster Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our two 4-star hotel properties, ensuring both are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with health & safety standards and regulatory requirements. This role oversees all maintenance operations, managing a team across both locations. The role ensures minimal disruption to guests while delivering a high standard of preventative and reactive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations for both hotel properties. Manage a team of maintenance staff, including scheduling, task delegation, training, and performance management. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimise downtime. Ensure both properties comply with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain appropriate documentation. Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues to uphold service excellence. Liaise with department heads to coordinate maintenance work that may impact operations. Plan and manage capital expenditure projects in collaboration with General Managers. Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving strategies. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and common areas to identify necessary repairs. Manage inventory, procurement of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies. Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance work, inspections, equipment logs, and compliance documentation. Maintain and manage our health and safety platform, Seachange. Liaise with contractors/sub contractors. This is a hands on role where expectation is to perform maintenace tasks Key Requirements: Proven experience in a hotel engineering or maintenance management role, preferably across multiple sites. Minimum of 3+ years in a facilities management role. Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy management. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Flexible schedule including availability on weekends or for emergency call-outs.
