Job Description & Summary: A career within our Risk Modelling Services team provides you with the opportunity to contribute to audit, regulatory, valuation, and financial analyses services, designing solutions for clients' complex risk modelling, accounting, and financial reporting challenges, as well as broader business issues. As a Senior Manager within our Credit Risk Group, you will support clients in the challenging credit environment, developing and strengthening credit risk frameworks and models, and applying experience in the financial services industry to bring industry insights to clients.
You will be a highly motivated professional who can apply knowledge and experience to new situations by providing innovative solutions and practical insights. You will have experience leading projects and developing junior staff, including technical training and coaching, and you will be adaptive and proactive in keeping up-to-date with emerging best practices while contributing to thought leadership. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop client relationships are essential.
The Role
* Manage and deliver a wide range of core credit risk assignments while supporting multidisciplinary engagements in wider fields.
* Act as clients’ main point of day-to-day contact on engagements and liaise with Partner and Director.
* Lead and manage staff effectively to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery of engagements.
* Lead or contribute to the development of new consulting opportunities, including collaboration with other firm professionals in Corporate Finance, Banking, and Enterprise Risk Management.
* Be a committed team leader and participate in the strategic management and running of the practice.
* Be an innovative thinker who contributes to thought leadership.
* Be willing to travel occasionally to support engagements within the European network.
* Develop and expand our credit risk service offering.
* Deliver and communicate the outcomes of our work clearly and concisely.
Requirements
* A minimum of 8 years’ experience in credit risk management from either a consultancy or industry background
* A strong background in Retail or Corporate Credit Risk
* A strong background in management of model development, implementation, maintenance, and related frameworks
* An honours degree in mathematics, statistics or another numerically-focused discipline, or a related postgraduate qualification and/or recognised qualification in Risk Management or Risk Modelling, with experience of regulatory requirements for credit risk models
* Proven track record of using models to resolve real-life business problems
* Experience in leading complex projects and developing teams
* Ability to deliver results within demanding timescales
* Strong communication, presentation, and report writing skills: proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint with a willingness to share learning and develop insights
