Accounts Administrator Job
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to support our finance team in their daily tasks.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records, processing payments and reconciliations efficiently, and inputting financial data into our accounting system.
This involves maintaining up-to-date ledgers, processing payments, and preparing regular reports for the Management Accountant and Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
* Process reconciliations and payments on time using a computerised system.
* Compile and report financial figures to the Management Accountant and Team Leader.
* Investigate discrepancies in company distribution centre reconciliations as necessary.
* Process supplier payments and maintain general accounts filing.
* Carry out ad hoc duties within the accounts department, including providing cover for reception when required.
* Work closely with the Management Accountant to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a busy office environment is essential.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel.
* Experience using accounting system packages (Sage 50 and/or Sage 200 is desirable).
* Bookkeeping skills are required.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills are necessary.
* High level of accuracy and strong analytical ability are required.
* Competence with IT systems and data entry is essential.
* A positive, problem-solving approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team is needed.
* An accounts qualification (or currently working towards one) would be advantageous.
