About The Role The Senior Network Contracting Manageris responsible for contracting and provider relationship management activities within Optum Rx in support of an assigned group of pharmacy providers.
This role will work to develop and maintain positive relationships with pharmacy partners that yield resultsand drive client satisfaction and will play an active role by managing contractual obligations andcompliance, contract negotiations, operational needs and relationship needs.
Primary Responsibilities Of The Senior Network Contracting Manager Lead and assist with contractual negotiations including financial modeling where appropriate Develop and execute on provider strategy development Maintain an ongoing knowledge of provider's business as well as their contract with Optum Rx Provide positive alternatives to complex situations encountered by providers and manage expectations Escalate provider concerns internally and to help solve complex issues Communicate effectively with providers via face-to-face meetings, conference calls and written correspondence Manage contractual obligations including but not limited to contract compliance Be a self-starter, produce quality work, excellent attention to detail, make decisions, and deliver on commitments You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you andgive you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other rolesyou may be interested in.
Required Qualifications Of The Senior Network Contracting Manager Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Extensive contract management experience Strong negotiation experience and relationship management skills Experience of financial analysis and/or modeling experience Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Of The Senior Network Contracting Manager Extensive knowledge of provider relations and/or network management experience Experience with pharmacy or healthcare claims Strategic thinker and/or project management skills Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
