Our client based in Co. Wicklow is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the continued growth of their finance function. This role is ideal for someone who is working toward their accountancy qualification. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing payroll, cost control, reconciliations, and tax compliance, while contributing valuable financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer payroll processes across several countries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
* Review staff expenses and company card usage in line with internal policies
* Monitor and manage overhead expenditure, identifying cost-saving opportunities
* Ensure timely and accurate VAT and tax submissions across multiple jurisdictions
* Stay informed of changes in tax legislation and adapt internal processes as needed
* Maintain the fixed asset register with correct classifications and depreciation schedules
* Complete general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial data
* Produce and manage short and long-term cash flow forecasts to aid financial planning
* Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with financial controls
* Provide financial reporting and insights to support operational and strategic planning
* Spot financial trends and propose improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
* Part-qualified or nearly qualified Accountant
* Experience in financial accounting with knowledge of payroll and cost management
* Familiarity with tax and VAT compliance across various jurisdictions
* Proficient in general ledger reconciliations and managing fixed assets
* Strong analytical abilities with a focus on financial interpretation
* Confident using accounting software and advanced in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail with strong time management and organisational skills
* Clear communicator with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners
* Full driver's licence required
