Job description
* We are looking for an articulate production line chef assistant with experience of working under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Experience working in a busy kitchen environment and strong attention to details.
* Responsible for timely preparation, packaging, labelling, sealing products and distribution of foods.
* Liaising with other chefs, to ensure that the correct level of produce is ordered to meet per stock requirements and checking goods inward.
* Familiar with HACCP, food hygiene standards
* Preferably Knowledge of allergen Handling, Traceability, Labelling and Hygienic Storage of foods including stock rotation, training provided for the right candidate.
* Maintaining and importance of record keeping.
* Maintains high standards of food quality and appearance. Follows food preparation directions and HACCP regarding time, temperature, and cleanliness.
Requirements
* Some experience would be an advantage, but full training provided
* Ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
* Ability to plan and organize workload.
* Ability to apply principles of quantity cooking, including safe food handling, batch cooking and HACCP although full training will be provided.
* Have excellent organisational skills and communication skills.
* Basic computer skills (word, excel, outlook) to be comfortable with excel for data input involving traceability, Labelling, invoicing, scheduling, ect.
* Have a good command of English.
